Volunteers are at the heart of the Nevada State Museum, Las Vegas. They welcome guests, guide tours, support school visits, assist with exhibits, and help with community events. Every role contributes to making the museum a place of learning and connection.
Volunteering is a meaningful way to share your interest in Nevada’s history and culture, learn new skills, and support lifelong learning in our community. We welcome students, working adults, and retirees, as well as those seeking field experience or a new learning opportunity. Our team will work with you to place you in the department that best matches your skills and interests.

Artifact Donations
The Nevada State Museum, Las Vegas does not purchase artifacts. Instead, our collections grow thanks to generous public donations that help us preserve Nevada’s history, culture, and natural heritage. Each submission is carefully reviewed by our collections team. If accepted, your items will be preserved and made available for research for generations to come.
Note: We do not accept walk-in donations, and museum staff are unable to appraise or assign monetary value to artifacts.
Monetary Donations
Your generosity helps support our educational programming, exhibits, and preservation efforts across the museum. To make a monetary donation online, please download and return our Credit Card Authorization Form by mail.
