The Nevada State Museum, Las Vegas welcomes school field trips throughout the school year on Mondays, Thursdays, and Fridays 9:00am-4:00pm. To ensure a positive and safe experience for all students, each field trip group is limited to 50 students per visit. Larger groups must either schedule a joint visit with the Springs Preserve, or reserve multiple dates for smaller groups.

Visit Details

Field trips are scheduled on Mondays, Thursdays, and Fridays between 9:00 AM and 4:00 PM, based on availability. Reservations are confirmed on a first-come, first-served basis, and alternate dates may be suggested if the museum has reached capacity. Please confirm bus transportation availability before submitting your request.

Groups exceeding 50 students must also book with the Springs Preserve or schedule multiple visit dates. Reservation approval will be contingent upon confirming one of these arrangements.

Groups visiting only the Nevada State Museum, Las Vegas may begin as early as 9:00 AM (or 8:00 AM for groups with accessibility needs). Groups visiting both the Museum and the Springs Preserve must begin their visit at 10:00 AM.

Transportation

Limited field trip transportation funding is available through the Nevada Division of Museums and History to help schools offset bus costs. Please indicate below if you plan to request bus reimbursement as part of your visit.

Only schools that included a transportation cost on their approved Field Trip Request Form are eligible for reimbursement. To qualify for reimbursement, your district must email an invoice with the assigned P.O. number to dmhfiscal@nevadaculture.org within 30 days of your trip.
