Last entry is at 3:30 p.m.
Closed Tuesday and Wednesday.

Holiday Closures

The museum is closed on Thanksgiving Day, Christmas Day, and New Year’s Day.

Admission

Admission to the Nevada State Museum, Las Vegas is included with a Springs Preserve ticket. Members of either institution receive free entry with a valid membership card at the Springs Preserve entrance. For individual ticket prices, visit the Springs Preserve Ticketing page.

We welcome youth groups, nonprofits, and private visitors to explore the Nevada State Museum, Las Vegas through guided or self-guided experiences. All tours must be scheduled in advance and depend on staff or volunteer availability. Please see below for special group rates.

Group and Private Tour Rates

Ideal for adult groups, organizations, and community clubs.

$10 per person for groups of 10 or more
$20 per person for groups under 10
Nonprofit rate: $8 or $16 per person (based on group size)
Group limit: up to 30 participants

Private tours highlight the museum’s collections, special exhibitions, and behind-the-scenes stories. Schedules depend on guide availability.

Youth Group Visits

Limited to 50 per group, will receive an introduction to the museum before a self-guided/guided tour of the museum. Parking, admittance, and tour details will be sent to the group organizer prior to the scheduled visit. *Guided tours dependent upon guide availability.

$2 per child
Two free chaperones for every 10 students
Additional adults: $5 each
Group limit: up to 50 participants

How to Book

To request a group or private tour, contact the Education Department at educationnsmlv@nevadaculture.org or call (702) 822-8746. Please include your preferred date, group size, and any special requests. Each group begins with a short welcome before exploring the museum. Parking, entry, and visit details are emailed to the group organizer once confirmed.

Directions

From the Las Vegas Strip (via freeway):

Take I-15 North and merge onto US-95 North (which also appears as I-11).
Exit at Valley View Boulevard and turn left (south).
Continue about one mile to Meadows Lane. Turn left (east) into the Springs Preserve entrance.

From the Strip (surface streets):

From Las Vegas Boulevard head west on Flamingo Road or Sahara Avenue to Valley View Boulevard.
Head north on Valley View past Charleston Boulevard and Alta Drive.
Turn right (east) at Meadows Lane to enter the Springs Preserve.

From Downtown Las Vegas:

Take US-95 North (also signed I-11) toward Reno.
Exit at Valley View Boulevard and turn right (south).
Continue south to Meadows Lane. Turn left (east) into the Springs Preserve.

From North Las Vegas (via freeway):

Travel south on US-95 (or I-11 route) toward Las Vegas.
Exit at Valley View Boulevard and turn right (south).
Continue south to Meadows Lane and turn left (east) into the Springs Preserve.
