Mining In Nevada
We cannot understand the history of Nevada without discussing mining – the discovery, extraction, and processing of valuable ores from beneath the surface of the land – and its impact.
This box allows students to explore:
- how mining impacted the development and growth of the state
- how it impacted the lives of miners and ranchers and shopkeepers, and their families
- how it shaped language and culture
