Focus Fridays: The 1940s-1950s Rise of Dude and Divorce Ranches in Las Vegas
Join us for a tour of the gallery space exploring the rise of dude and divorce ranches in Las Vegas in the 1940s and 1950s. Guests will hear about the rise of Las Vegas dude ranches, the capitalization of Reno’s divorce industry, and how the intersection of dude ranches and divorce industry led to the rise of “divorce ranches” in Las Vegas. Guests will also see recently processed archival materials from local historic dude and divorce ranches such as the Boulderado Ranch and the Tule Springs Ranch.

Every 2nd Friday of the Month you can visit the Nevada State Museum, Las Vegas and enjoy themed museum experiences, offering guided gallery tours, collection highlights, and hands-on activities centered on a focused topic. Walk-ins are welcome.
