The New Deal in the New West

Step back in time to 1940 and learn how New Deal programs helped transform the great state of Nevada.

This edition of Focus Fridays will explore Nevada’s mining and ranching past and how the New Deal’s Work Progress Administration programs aided Nevada’s cultural and economic shifts.

During a guided tour of the “New Deal in the New West: On the Road in Nevada with Arthur Rothstein” and the permanent exhibition, visitors will learn more about the state’s history and discuss how trends have influenced Nevada up until today.
