In 2017 Mel Ozeki donated the full run of Ohana, Las Vegas’ first and only magazine “for and about the people of Hawai’i.” Mel was both the editor and creator of the magazine. Mel also donated a book scanner so the library could scan the magazine and make them available to the public. The project was completed in December of 2018.
The magazines are scanned as pdfs with automatic character recognition. You will need Adobe Acrobat 9.0 or higher to view the magazines. Click an image below to view the magazine for that month. If you’d like higher resolution scans of the magazine, please email infonsmlv@nevadaculture.org
