Description:
Correspondence and papers, 1869-1948, concerning raising a family, running a farm and cattle ranch, the death of Helen Stewart’s husband, Archibald, and the development of the Las Vegas area. Known as the “First Lady of Las Vegas,” Mrs. Stewart was active in the establishment of the town and its early organizations. Other family papers are included in the collection.
