Lost City

A native culture developed and flourished for over 1,000 years in the Moapa Valley.
Created by the Lost City Museum in Overton, Nevada, this box introduces students to that culture and what remains of a large number of villages that were located in Southern Nevada over 1,000 years ago.
Students will learn about the culture of the Ancestral Puebloans (formerly known as the Anasazi), handle their tools and other artifacts, and learn about the techniques archaeologists use to learn more about people from the past.
