The Friends of NSMLV general meeting will be held on Thursday, November 18. Doors open 2.00pm for 2.30pm start at the Nevada State Museum, Las Vegas.
Guest speaker is Steve Rowland and his topic is The Amazing Geology and Paleontology of Frenchman Mountain and Rainbow Gardens.
Steve Rowlands, professor emeritus of geology at UNLV and manager of the paleontology lab at the Las Vegas Natural History Museum. His research interests include the paleontology of Ice Age mammals, fossil footprints of dinosaurs and early reptiles, the stratigraphy of Frenchman Mountain and the Grand Canyon, and 18th century Russian geology.
Join us for what will be an exciting and very interesting presentation on an area we have all heard of but probably don’t know much about. Invite your friends and family for a great afternoon!
The doors will open at 2:00 PM for sign-in and socializing.
