The Friends of NSMLV general meeting will be held on Thursday, May 20 at 6:00 PM.  The meeting will be held by Zoom.

The guest speaker this month will be Craig Rosen from the Desert Research Institute (DRI).  Craig and the DRI have been friends of the Friends, providing us with a grant to support the Education department’s traveling trunk program in 2019/2020.

Craig serves as Director of the Nevada STEM Networks  and DRI Office of Education Community Engagement and Professional Development Administrator.  He is responsible for supporting educators through professional development workshops.   Craig will speak on the importance of STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, & Math) education in Nevada.

This should prove to be an interesting and timely discussion based on the current challenges of school systems and the growing technological economy in Nevada.

Meeting starts at 6pm – join the Friends for a evening of fun!!
