Description
Today we are making cootie catchers, which in other cultures and countries are also known as fortune tellers, chatterboxes, salt cellars, whirlybirds, or paku-paku. These are all a form of origami that dates back centuries from the Japanese words “oru” (to fold) and “kami” (paper).
Come and join us, relive your childhood memories and share with your children or grandchildren as you make your own cootie catcher at our hands-on Discovery Saturday programs designed for everyone of all ages.
10 am to 2 pm in our Special Events Room.
Free with regular admission.
