Prejudice & Pride: The Fight to Vote – Exhibit Opening
Our new exhibit opens on March 7th 2020
This year is the Centennial of the Ratification of the 19th Amendment giving women in the US the right to vote. Yet, it was not the answer to suffrage for all women, and was not the end of the fight for all.
The exhibit titled: “Prejudice & Pride: The Fight to Vote”, puts women’s suffrage into context with other US suffrage challenges, changes and successes since the ratification of the US Constitution; accompanied by artifacts that have their own stories to tell. This exhibit strives to describe that journey to modern day.
