Holidays Around the World: A Special Discovery Saturday

Travel the globe without leaving Las Vegas! This special Discovery Saturday session is designed for all ages to explore holidays from different cultures, including the stories and values behind them. It’s an opportunity to come together, learn, have fun, and gain a deeper appreciation for the cultures that make our community—and our world—so special.

To start the day, you’ll receive a passport which will guide your journey from culture to culture. As you complete activities and crafts inspired by holidays spanning the calendar year—from Christmas in Brazil to India’s Festival of Lights in the fall (Diwali)—you’ll earn stamps in your passport, plus chances to win prizes! 

We will also showcase diverse traditions from around the globe with live performances: 

11am: Lohan School of Shaolin | Kung fu

12pm: Las Vegas Kaminari Taiko | Japanese drumming

12:30pm: Scoil Rince Ni Riada | Irish dance

1pm: Dazantes del Puerto Folklorico of Las Vegas | Mexican dance

2pm: Piñata | Take a swing and collect candy
